Some pictures from the garden of love-in-a-puff and zinnia, and a couple of buckets of just picked flowers. Morgan is getting married this weekend. Gerbera daisies will be featured in the centerpieces, but I hope to tuck a few of the zinnias in her toss bouquet.
Zinnias in wine with pink dianthus and pink yarrow. Dainty white feverfew peaks from behind the zinnias and soft white blooms lisianthus. Green Spice heuchera leaves, fern fronds and lamb's ear add a touch of green to the bouquet. These flowers are available from my summer garden.
In several of my designs for the Bridal Show, I used this romantic vine. Notice the tiny black seeds that are impressed with a heart. Three of these seeds are found in each of the bright green puffs- hence the name- Love in a Puff
This bouquet was designed with zinnia and rudbeckia from the summer garden with dusty miller accents. Rudbeckias are commonly known as Black Eyed Susans, but some of the newer varieties have flower centers that are green such as the one above which is called "Prairie Sun".
