Back in October I posted a picture of the rose bouquet that she had won from a drawing at the Southern Bridal Show last August. And here is a picture of the actual bouquet. She came by on Thursday to pick it up and was glowing because her wedding was just a couple of days away.

Wedding Bouquets in Purple Part II- Playing It Cool
This week's wedding bouquets feature a lovely rose called "Cool Water". It is a lavender rose with some pink undertones, and it pairs well with whites, blues and silvers.
Or it can stand alone as in the bouquet pictured above.
When a bride wants to include lavender roses in her bouquet, Cool Water roses are at the top of my list. I love their classic rose look and they seem to last forever... well for fresh flowers that is.
The top photograph is a great image captured by Pascale Fitts, and was featured a New Year's Eve post. This rose was also featured in a post about a bouquet that will be given away to bride-to-be Paula in April.

Weddings- Morgan and Gavin
Isn't she just beautiful! Morgan and Gavin were married last September, and I had the privilege of designing their wedding flowers. We talked about different styles, but in the end Morgan decided to go with a classic look. White Akito and Cool Water roses with touches of white stock and wax flowers made the perfect bridal bouquet.
Morgan's gown was stunning!
The bridesmaids carried bouquets of Cool Water and pink Sophie roses with touches of white stock.
Cheerful gerber daisies surrounded by votive candles adorned the reception tables.
And as the evening began, the couple and their guests enjoyed the most spectacular views high above downtown Raleigh at The Capital City Club.
Pascale Fitts is the very talented photographer who captured their most wonderful wedding day!
Wishing you all the best as you ring in your first New Year as husband and wife!!!

The Winner of the Rose Bouquet is....

The winner of the Rose Bouquet from the Southern Bridal Show is Paula P., who is getting married April 30, 2011. Her colors will include lavender, so I designed this bouquet with Cool Water roses, a soft lavender rose and creamy Majolica spray roses. I want to offer my long overdue congratulations to Paula!
